The garden, the orchard, the pools, and the olive grove
So you made it! You have come a long way, and here you are at last! Can you hear the silence? Have you seen the colors? You’ve actually ended up in a wonderful spot in the world. Haven’t I told you yet that at this very latitude we live outdoors all daylong? Here in the south, the natural environment around us is part and parcel of what we call home. This is why we work so hard to keep our olive grove and garden so beautiful: here lays our little treasure, il geco sognante, another reason why we take care of every small detail to make your stay memorable. Here on the wide lawn you can practice all sorts of games and then take a fresh shower close to an ancient, shady olive tree. All right, it’s hot, I know that: let’s all dive into the fantastic pool for a swim then, or maybe just for a leisurely Jacuzzi. It’s so nice to lie in the sun on the white stony floor and get dried in few seconds! Are you hungry? Well, shoes on then and let’s enjoy walking around to pick the seasonal fruits right from the trees (almonds, grapes, lemons, plums, pomegranates, figs). Lunchtime coming up? In the wonderfully equipped outdoor cooking space just by the pool you can experience preparing your favorite dishes like a real Apulian chef, even using the old traditional furnace. While you cook, the rest of the gang can help you …by playing in the pool! Ok, I’ve got it: you are up for a break: the vast orchard is full of secluded corners all around, where you can chill out, take a nap and regain your strength…to start all over again!
