The building

O yeah! One hundred and fifty years, indeed! And yet it doesn’t show its age, does it? We have done our trullo up, back to its original beauty, restoring the traditional alcoves. The main hall, covered by the typical cone-shaped roof, assembled with ancient stones is connected with other tiny, lovely spaces hosting the kitchen, the fireplace, the comfortable bathroom, and the traditional bed. This is it! You can live the magical experience of the ancient Apulian farmers, falling asleep every night under a stony vault, surrounded by the allure of its rich history. the Story

Restoring means giving back: a brick to its wall, a door to its hinges, an individual to their home. It means respecting: the hard work of the past builders, the traditional idea of home in harmony with the surroundings. It also means trusting the local workforce and their knowledge, as jealous keepers of traditional handcrafts secrets. Well, that is what we have done. We restored. Stones placed back to their original places, walls raised again so that finally doors can be opened again to the new morning sun. And we have loved it all the way through.
